Persuasive Writing - Cats or Dogs!

Around the world there are thousands of different  species of animals, However cats and dogs are commonly popular as house pets. In my opinion they are both very superior animals but I believe dogs are better more obedient pets.

Dogs are very energetic which often means they need exercise whether that be a walk or going to the park. This can help benefit its owners by encouraging participating in more outdoor and physical activity which is beneficial for humans and animals health and well being.

Dogs can sometimes be high maintenance but they are very loyal. Dogs are very loyal to owners if they are caring towards them. Dogs are very compassionate animals and will protect their owners. Sometimes cats can betray you by running away or scratching you how ever dogs have kind nature.

Dogs can also be helpful with producing less waste. Often any left over food can be fed to dogs as long as it is animal safe. Producing less waste is helping the environment. This could possibly help families save money and create less waste.

Dogs are very kind compassionate creatures and are very loyal and protecting. You can always feel comfortable knowing you have a loyal dog protecting you.

  1. Hi Ruby

It was interesting for me to read your work because I had a hunch you might argue for cats! You had some great supporting evidence for why dogs are better and you used smart word choices to gear your piece towards the intended audience.

Well done on this work, your persuasive writing is coming around.

For next time, see if you can add more sentences to support each ideas. Your last few paragraphs are a little bit on the short side, but I know with more time you would have been able to add more to this!
