This term for health we have been learning about the 4 dimensions of Hauora and the 5 Ways to Wellbeing. As our task using paper in groups we created a 3D house each wall and roof representing the 4 dimensions of Hauora and a description of Whare Tapa Wha. Whare Tapa Wha is the 4 dimensions of wellbeing involved in Hauora, Including Taha Tinana (Physical), Taha Wairua (Spiritual), Taha Hinengaro (Social) and Taha Whanau (Mental & Emotional). Just like a house all dimensions of your well being need to be healthy in order to support the house. This is useful to understand because in order to be healthy and happy all dimensions of Hauora need to be good. I think I participated well along side Azaliah and Nysten and we were one of the first groups to complete our house. I contributed to our house and group by helping with research for the 4 dimensions as well as writing on all the walls. It was challenging to try and attach the roof to the rest of the house as we hadn't planned how we would attach it. We coped with the challenge by attaching more paper and other attachments to hold it. Next time we will plan our design first to make it simpler to assemble and create.
