Fairytale Writing Update

Today for writing we continued our Fairy tale Narrative writing. We are re writing classic fairy tales with different variations. We had to take a break in the middle of our writing for a week because of assessments, I was up to ending my introduction and introducing the problem.  I felt I had trouble building my story structure today.

Here Is My Progress
Welcome to this twisted tale full of wicked treats. Once upon a time in a forest on the edge of the small town, Maple Grove two young children, Jack and Autumn joyfully strolled along the deserted yellow brick road headed for the Maple Forest. They reached the edge of the road and headed towards a familiar clearing in the trees where they would play hide and seek. The children spent hours playing hide and seek under the beaming sunlight through the treetops.. Night was approaching and the children decided to leave, When they met yellow brick road leading them home. Along the path a variety of lollipops, candy canes and jellies lined the edge of the path, The children were suspicious however there hunger got the better of them and they decided to take a treat. In the distance the children could see lights surrounding a house but something wasn’t right. The aroma of baking filled the air. The children realised it wasn’t a normal house it was very peculiar in fact, the gingerbread walls were coated in delicious icing and candy surrounding the house.

I have enjoyed doing this writing and I think it has been an interesting task. I think I could have written more however I was struggling to build the story structure because I already planned the main idea. I plan on continuing more work as i am hoping I will be able to write a good structure.
