Narrowing Search Results!

This term for Cybersmart we have been learning about narrowing our search results. Our class alongside Ts works in the learning commons for Cybersmart.  We have been focusing on this because this will be a helpful tool throughout our school life for researching and learning. Today we worked on using the google tool bar to narrow our search results. We also went over stuff we have previously learnt such as changing the usage rights for images we are using for blogging or DLO's etc. We had to find out as much information using different tools about Stonehenge in England. Before using the location settings it came up with Stonehenge in New Zealand however we needed to find out about Stonehenge is England. We also used this to find the history of rugby but in order to find the history specifically for New Zealand rugby history. It will help us with our blogging because as well as narrowing our results I find from our research task it found more reliable searches quicker then usual. I learnt that changing the location settings it makes it easier to find knowledge relating to a certain country/topic easier than prior.

  1. Great reflection Ruby and I like the way that you worried about yourself and your learning to produce a great blog post. It is a great skill to be able to focus on your own task when others around you may not be doing the right things.

I am proud of the work you produced today; keep up the great stuff!
