This is my 2016 Digi Awards entry. The digi awards is a Digital award show hosted each year by Core education. Schools around the cluster enter a digital object matching the theme of that year. This years theme is Be The Change. Each year there are categories they alter through the years, This years categories are Movie Making, Website Creator, Digital Sandpit, Digital Art and Green Screen. I entered Digital art. We discussed what Be The Change means and we singled out the possible topics we could create on. They were homeless, litter, save the animals and poverty. In each category they will rate 1st, 2nd and 3rd they will also score us on our blurbs. our blurbs could have a maximum of 100 words and had to explain our topic, what we learnt, prototypes and explaining your entry.
For the Digi awards, I chose Digital Art. We brainstormed what Be The Change is. Then we chose a topic, I chose poverty. I researched what poverty is. Next we learned about camera angles and how to take them. I chose front facing as my angle because it included all parts of the photo I needed. My entry shows Be The Change because a girl in poverty has no shoes or jacket and a lady from Kids Can donates shoes and a jacket to her. Kids Can is a NZ organization which helps by donating food and jackets to schools.

ReplyDeleteWow this is really good Ruby. I love how you got Makayla a jacket and some shoes. I like how you got an adult to be the Kids Can person. Maby next time you could go up closer to take the photo because it is a bit blurry and small.

I really like that you made a drawing about a lady that has no shoes or jacket then a lady gives her one it's very amazing. It made me think of when kids can gave us jackets and some people shoes.Have you thought about putting a video in of you at the Digi awards.
