A New Hobby

In the holidays I did a sewing class with 5 other girls my age at the Make Cafe/Create. We had a teacher and her name was Treena - Marie and she was a very talented sewer and a fantastic teacher. The class was 3 days long and it was from 12:30pm - 2:00pm, We did it in the sewing                                                                      room upstairs. 

They had a great selection of fabrics and a great range of colours included in them. We learnt about the different foots on the sewing machine and what they are used for. We also had to hand sew on some of our projects.

 On the first day we made a pillow case/cover. I used a pink material with baking equipment such as whisks, sieves and spoons. The next project was the pencil case I used a purple, green and pink floral pattern. For the last activity I used red polka dot fabric and orange backing fabric
