Baking In Home Economics!

This term in home economics we have been doing Kiwi baking. Over the past two terms we have baked a variety of different foods and learnt plenty of useful skills. For our task over the week in our groups we developed a recipe using a combination of measurements and knowledge. My group decided on making oreo choc chip cookies. We made a prototype version the first week, and from that we adapted to make our final recipe. We found we needed to add more flour to the recipe as during our prototype we had to add extra. During this recipe we learnt how to correctly cream butter and sugar as well as the purpose of using raising agents. Overall I enjoyed this project because it was interesting developing and adapting a recipe.
