This term in English we have been learning about Critical Literacy. Critical Literacy is thinking critically or in depth in order to identify the purpose and authority of the text. At the start of the lesson we began with a game, Get Bad News. The purpose of the game is to gain the most followers from choices that include satire or manipulation. After the game we were given the task of creating a DLO of some sort to display our learning. This had to include finding out if the chosen news sites were real or fake and including ways to identify a fake website.
