In art recently we have been looking at photography as an extra resource for our portfolios and subject matter. We looked at different photographers including Ringo Kawauchi, Man Ray and William Eggleston. We had to pick one photographers work to focus and recreate, I chose Man Ray, because I like the way his art is surrealist and the way he works with shadows. Man Ray's, Glass Eyes - 1932, is one of my favourite works by him. I have been heavily inspired by this art specifically in the process of taking my own photos. Using textured stickers and layering printed images I recreated it, adding grain, shadows and colouring to match the style of Man Ray.

ReplyDeleteLove the imagery you have chosen, and would really like to see more of your own work in response to your role model.
