Why Was Paper Boy Written?

Vince Vawter is the author of Paperboy, One of our tasks this week was to read an article of why he told this story and answer some questions of our thoughts. Paper boy is a true story based of Vince's childhood and acts as an Autobiography.

I think this story was written about a young boy discovering his way in the world and his neighbour hood. This book also touches on the struggle having a stutter can cause children and adults. I think he wanted to share his story because his life was different than many other children's lives in current time as well as a memoir.

2 Thoughtful Questions For The Author

Did you ever overcome your stutter, did it stop you from pursuing any of your dreams?

Were you always dreaming of becoming a writer, If so did you know you wanted to tell your autobiography through a novel?

  1. Wow Ruby, I love the way that you connected the ideas in the story to what Vince Vawter talked about in the article your group read this week. Wondering about sharing his story or autobiography through a novel is a very thoughtful question.

Well done on this blog post.

This is awesome... will you take up his offer with the video chat? What would you want to ask him if you do?
