Today our class had a bake sale fundraiser. We were raising money for the 24/7 youth workers and families in need. We sold various baked goods and other delicious treats. Two weeks ago we began planning a fundraising idea as part of our Kete projects. We decided on a bake sale because we though it was a sustainable job. There was lots of work going into our bake sale, We each were given jobs. These jobs were making the treats, making posters, advertising, speaking at assembly, bagging the treats and selling them. I was away a lot during the process of baking so I was put on selling them. Several people make cakes, brownies, cupcakes, and cookies but we also sold variety bags. We ended up raising $140.70, I felt good when we found out how much money we raised because of the effort we put in and that it was going towards a good cause helping other people.
Overall I am glad our fundraiser went well and I am proud of how much we raised for a good cause.
Hi Ruby!
ReplyDeleteI am also proud of how well our class did and it makes me feel good that we are able to give back to people in our community. I really like how you identified that we needed a sustainable project that we could complete in the given time frame. This was a very thoughtful reflection.
