Iqbal's Story

Iqbal had his human rights taken away from him when he was forced into child labour at a young age. He offered to be sold instead of his sister as he was worried for her as he believed she was weaker than him. This act was detaining his human rights which is extremely outrageous, As human rights are legally necessary and valid for every person. Human rights are expected to be respected for every person as legally they apply to everyone equally. He was placed working in a carpet factory, The master who was in charge was very horrible. If his slave children disobeyed or misbehaved they would be beaten and put into a torture chamber. The debt Iqbal worked to pay off was worth more than he was sold for ($26). Every carpet he made was worth $12. Even after Iqbal worked off his debt he was still not aloud to leave which ended in Iqbal ripping up carpets in a frustrated fit, As result Iqbal was tortured, threatened, cut with knives and bruised by his master. Iqbal was starved and aloud a small piece of bread and a tiny bit of water daily. Iqbal then escaped and began protesting for human rights and rescuing children forced into slave labour. Three years after escaping he was hunted down and shot & killed by the carpet mafia due to the Taliban.
