Calendar Art
For Calendar Art this year I decided to draw a checkered tree. I had to use a lot of different colours. The colouring took a while and the trunk and branches was quite hard. At the end my hands were really sore.

Hi Ruby, you have done outstanding work with your Calendar art. I love how you have used a range of colours that are not only vibrant, but look and go well together. Next time you could try to use a few darker colours to make your art stand out even more. I am looking forward to seeing more of your amazing artwork!
ReplyDeleteHi Ruby
ReplyDeleteI like the way you used colours that blend together in your picture and used detail in your branches ,e.g. small, big, wide, and thin. Maybe next time you can make sure the black pastel doesn’t smudge
I also like the way you use interesting words, e.g. Charcoalish.
Hi Ruby
ReplyDeleteI love your art, it really stands out and it’s really bold especially in the photo . Every single colour blends in with the picture. Next time if you do your calendar art you could work on trying not to smudge it but the rest looks really good. well done!
Hi Ruby, thanks for the feedback. I know it is smudged but it is hard when using dark and light colours. I will definitely try not to smudge it next time even though it is hard when using pastel. I liked the design so much that I did a few at home and I am going to give to my family as Christmas presents.
DeleteDo you like using pastel?
Do you want to try and make it yourself?
